June 7, 2006 - Hollywood, CA
Generous manufacturers and Los Angeles businesses donated fantastic products and services that were auctioned live during the 2006 Home Entertaiment Show, which was held recently at the Sheraton Gateway Hotel near LAX (Los Angeles International Airport). HES is the premier consumer electronics show open to the public and took place June 4-6, 2006.
Parasound, XM Radio, House of Blues, David Paul Salon of Beverly Hills, Onkyo, THIEL, mbl America, Rives Audio, AudioQuest, Gold's Gym, Richard Gray's Power Company, SIM2, and Dean Baer all contributed wonderful items for auction. Among the highlights was a priceless vacation to Washington, D.C. for a private tour of the XM Satelitte Radio headquarters and attendance at one of their live concert events.
In all, over $30,000 was raised for the Elf Foundation's on-going 'Room of Magic' theater program, benefitting sick kids around the country.
