AVS Forum Launches Elf's 2006 Freedom of Expression Fund Raiser

February 20, 2006 - Hollywood, CA

Since the Elf Foundation's inception in July of 2001, a great deal of individuals and companies have enjoyed the freedom to assist the foundation and a great many sick kids have had the freedom to utilize the Room of Magic theaters that Elf and partners have created across the country. The essence of these simple freedoms that we enjoy have been captured by artist Dean J. Baer in a new painting entitled Freedom of Expression, and a special lithograph of the original is being made available to the Elf Foundation to offer on-line as a fund raising device to support the foundation's theater construction program.

And, long-time Elf advocate and 2003 Volunteer of the Year, David Bott and his world-renowned website avsforum.com will kick off the on-line sales during the upcoming President's Day weekend. AVSForum.com is the leading home theater enthusiast website globally, with daily unique visits totaling in excess of 200,000.

The open edition lithograph measures 16" x 12" and is printed on high quality, acid free paper. The retail price is $19.95 and includes domestic shipping. Availability will run throughout 2006 and for each lithograph that is sold through AVSforum.com, the Elf Foundation will receive $5.00 from Dean J. Baer LLC.

"Without surrendering our national identity, I wanted to create a work of art that had the appearance of something limitless, something without boundaries, something lofty, attainable, and at the same time a work that would honor those who sacrificed their very lives for the freedom we enjoy here in the US," said artist Dean J. Baer. "I felt 'Freedom of Expression' was the fitting title for this work."

"This is a tremendous opportunity for the foundation to partner with Dean J. Baer LLC and its Freedom of Expression project in an effort to raise much-needed funds for the foundation's Room of Magic theater program," said Douglas Weinstein, founder of the Elf Foundation. "And having David Bott and the enthusiasts on AVS Forum kick off this fund raiser makes the whole process that much better. We'll eventually roll this out to a wide range of our corporate sponsors and media partners to gain wider exposure."
