September 11, 2004 - Hollywood, CA
CEDIA Expo 2004 marked the release of the new, updated Elf Foundation brochure leading off with a host of completed "Rooms of Magic" and projects in progress, all generously sponsored by the manufacturers in the consumer electronics industry.
The 2004 Expo host sponsors include CEDIA and Primedia Home Technology & Photography Group magazines. Corporate sponsors include the group of six: Runco, Yamaha, Lutron, Sonance, Home Theater Cruise and Faroudja.
"We stand truly amazed at the incredible team of manufacturers who are an integral part of the success this foundation has enjoyed over the past few years", remarked Douglas Weinstein, president and founder of the Elf Foundation. "When the kids' faces light up in amazement the first time they get to watch a movie in their new theater-it is directly tied to these wondrous companies who give so much to support our mission", he said.
The Elf Foundation corporate sponsor list continues to grow with contributions amounting to thousands of dollars in donation of products and fund-raising assistance from these fine companies: McIntosh, Bowers & Wilkins, XM Satellite Radio, Epson, Stewart Filmscreen Corporation, In Focus' Screenplay, AVAD, Marketing Matters, good guys!, Gibson Guitars, Bose, D-Box Technologies, Richard Gray's Power Company, Straightwire, Klipch, Dealer scope, Custom Retailer and E-gear magazines.
"Imagine the smiles and laughter of the kids who can't get out to their local theater, but get to enjoy the full impact of sound and vision on one of our state-of-the-art screening rooms made possible by our generous sponsors", said Carol Campbell, co-founder of the Elf Foundation. "Many of our manufacturers' have come to a dedication or participated in a Tuesday Night at the Movies event that makes a lasting impression on them of how much their gift means to the children and families whose lives are forever touched", she said.
